New category on plugenjoy.com: Supplements and Nootropics!

0

After an incredible long time without a new post here on my blog, something’s finally happening again! Woohoo! ;)

Well I was busy lately with getting some offline things done but I’m sure you don’t want to hear some random blogger’s lame excuses for being lazy, right? Ok, let’s get it going then!

In the coming weeks I’ll blog about supplements and substances to improve your cognitive abilities.

Recently, I had to learn lots of things for work and the problem is that I’m not really a person who can focus easily – I get quickly distracted by “more fun things” I could do rather than learning boring, theoretical stuff. So I started researching for legally obtainable substances which might help me with learning and memory improvement.

Upon starting my own internet research about those supplements and pills I couldn’t even dream about the fact that there were so many different, highly effective substances which are easily obtainable in health stores or can be ordered online.

One thing I can tell you is: If you start with it, you’ll have to be fine with the fact that you have to carefully listen to your body for any positive and, of course, negative effects the supplement you’re experimenting with might have. Best practice of course would be to consult your doctor before taking any supplement. Although my credo is: “Too much is better than not enough” it surely shouldn’t apply for highly potent supplements, which could turn you into a twitchy, zombie guinea pig.

I’ll warn about the possible side-effects of a specific supplement and will provide you with links to studies. Also you have to be aware that almost every person will have different experiences due to individual differences in your body and brain chemisty.
Well I think that’s enough for now. Stay tuned on plugenjoy.com and thanks for reading! :)

Help the flood victims in Pakistan!

1

Pakistan’s worst floods in recorded history

More than 2 weeks already passed since the floods, triggered by Monsoon rains, destroyed almost about one fifth of the country. Roughly 20 million people and about 160,000 square kilometers of land have been affected by the enormous amounts of water. People there are suffering badly because of the lack of fresh water supplies and a worrying food shortage.

Humanitarian catastrophe

According to the U.N. 3.5 million children are in severe risk of getting ill which is caused by dirty water. The W.H.O. has estimated that about 36.000 people are already affected by the breakout of fatal cholera and the situation is getting worse with each passing day. Relief workers have a hard time to reach the homeless and very desperate people. The communities urgently need fresh water supplies, latrines and hygiene products.

Donations needed

Due to the picture our western media has drawn of Pakistan which has been often portrayed as a “terror-state”, people are hesitating to donate money. When compared to the earthquake which happened earlier this year in Haiti, the amount of total money donated until now is incredibly small. Western nation’s people often think that the money won’t make it to the humans affected. But not donating money at all is the worst option and aid organizations are doing a great job at using the money effectively and making sure that it arrives where it should.

Where are the billionaires?

Shortly before the floods, various media was reporting about the initiative started by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to convince billionaires all over the world to donate a part of their vast income for good deeds. I’m wondering why they are so silent about that now. If they aren’t just pulling a PR-gag out of that, they should start already to give money or resources to the aid organizations!

Please donate on one of the following sites to help the people which are desperately needing supplies!

The brand new website “Actual Information Portal” is a great way to see news coming in almost real-time. The articles originate from various big news providers like Reuters and AP.

They use some slide-over ads to get some money in which are sometimes a little bit annoying. But anyway it’s a great website to stay informed and you can even chose from different topics like science, culture, economy, technology and some more!

WikiLeaks lists 1.4GB ‘Insurance’ file

3

Silently…

…the whistle-blower website www.wikileaks.org listed a mysterious 1.4GB big, AES256 encrypted file on their website without any description but titling it “Insurance File”.

As suggested by an article on the the website www.wired.com this file contains most likely highly sensitive information about the Iraq war.

Rumors say, WikiLeaks might release the key in case either ‘something’ happens to Julian Assange, the founder of the said website, or if the website will be taken down by the U.S. government.
